The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Group

Since the launch of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a wide array of personalities, and a exciting storyline featuring angels, evil spirits, and malevolent powers expanding in power within the urban setting.

Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

Episode 3 finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of heroes who will split off from the central cast to embark on their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team consists of the determined fighter (played by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the outset that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Planners, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

Per the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are scarce.

Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading the secret base, striking the rogue, and stealing all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The antagonist then cleared his liabilities and fled to a secure base in the remote area, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, desires revenge.
  • Kattigan knows the region and warns that it is a hostile environment.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate the target and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • But, their position as important members in House Halovar could help the group reach places they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a eternal obligation to The cleric for his rescue and will now accompany him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and Wicander defied the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the family.

This means them few options but to journey toward the northern region in pursuit of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight players to form the Questers and Planners tables.

Viewers can look forward to discovering which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
